I've been lucky enough to dine at many fusion restaurants throughout Croatia, but Tekka by Lone in Rovinj truly stands out as something exceptional. Nestled within the architecturally striking Lone hotel, this Japanese restaurant manages to bridge two seemingly distant culinary worlds with remarkable elegance.

You have two beautiful options here: the minimalist-style dining room with its clean lines and contemporary aesthetic, or the delightful summer garden that feels like a secret oasis. I opted for the terrace on a warm evening, and it was absolutely magical watching the sunset while Japanese-inspired dishes arrived at my table.

What makes Tekka special is its thoughtful approach to fusion cuisine. The kitchen applies authentic Japanese techniques and recipes to locally-sourced Istrian ingredients, creating dishes that feel both familiar and entirely new.
