BÒME: Where Modern Mediterranean Magic Happens
Tucked away in Split's vibrant Trstenik neighborhood, BÒME is exactly the kind of place I live for discovering. This intimate restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite dining spots in the city, and I'm thrilled to finally share it with you.
The Space & Atmosphere
Walking into BÒME, I was immediately charmed by its colorful yet elegant interior. It's small and thoughtfully designed, creating an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and wonderfully welcoming. During my summer visits, I've enjoyed meals on their lovely covered terrace – the perfect setting for a long, leisurely dinner as the evening cools down.
The Food
Chef and owner Mario Omrčen has created something truly special here. His modern Mediterranean cuisine is all about balance – every dish I've tried demonstrates a masterful understanding of how flavors and textures can work together harmoniously. This isn't food that tries too hard to impress; instead, it confidently delivers on every plate.
The Service & Wine
I have to mention Franciska, whose warm and dynamic presence in the dining room made me feel like a welcomed guest rather than just another customer. Her service is precise yet genuinely friendly. The wine list deserves attention too – it's a carefully curated selection of small Croatian producers that perfectly complements the cuisine.
Why You Should Visit
BÒME is the kind of restaurant that reminds me why I fell in love with Croatian gastronomy. It's unpretentious, delicious, and run by people who clearly care deeply about what they do. Don't miss it.
