Kaštilac was a fortress of a Benedictine Monastery located by the Adriatic Sea in central Dalmatia, and is now a charming settlement in Kaštel Gomilica, in the heart of Split-Dalmatia county, Croatia. What makes this place truly special? Locals still live inside the ancient Kaštilac castle walls to this day! You might also recognize it as "Braavos" from Game of Thrones — a part of Season 5, Episode 8 was filmed right here.
